Brad Stubbs is a multi-talented composer,
songwriter, performer and producer who’s been
actively creating music for over twenty years. He
released his first CD The Last Drive-In Movie on
Arena Records in 1996. The dreamy acoustic
album received critical acclaim for its use of spoken
word and poetry . The Last Drive-In Movie continues
to be one of his most popular songs.
Brad fronted the alt-country group Bandwagon and
performed for many years throughout the 1990's,
sharing the bill with artists like Peter Case and
Asleep At The Wheel.
During that time he also played mandolin with Girl
George and the Dragons which included one of the
founding members of Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks.
Famed songwriter Guy Clark immortalized Girl
George in his 2002 song “Arizona Star”
In 2008, Brad released his 2nd CD Headin’ South a
15 song Americana opus that is a melting pot of
musical styles including folk, rock, bluegrass,
gospel, blues, jazz and country. For the ambitious

and NPR.

style album is a re-creation of David Bowie’s classic
record using only the omnichord, a theremin, a
circuit bent toys and vintage synthesizers.
Brad recently licensed a one of his political songs
for use in the upcoming documentary film Plunder
and also wrote the theme song for the reality TV
show pilot Hollywood Vintage.
Currently Brad is finishing up a collection of children’
s songs due to be available later this year.
