* I fell in love the Omnichord after seeing David Bowie
use it on stage at the "Tribute for Heroes: 9-11 Concert".
He sang Paul Simon's America and it moved me so
much... There he was, sitting cross legged on the floor
all alone except for this small device. I wasn't sure
what I was seeing and it was a few years before I
found out what that device was. Eventually, I bought
an Omnichord off of ebay. It didn't take long to get
the hang of it. I started singing Bowie's Five Years and
I realized how maybe I could do the whole album - How
cool would that be? It was surprisingly easy to record,
it took about 2 months start to finish. Mostly what
you'll hear on this album is the Omnichord, front and
center where it belongs. I also used a vintage Mirage
synth , a Theremin and a circuit bent toy phone. I
snuck in one electric guitar solo on Suffragette City
but that's it. Doing the vocals was especially fun while
trying to sound like a young David Bowie. I made a
point of not listening to the original record and doing
it from my memory. Heck, I listened to it a million
times growing up. I think I did a good job of keeping
the flow and energy of the original while offering a
fresh twist. If you buy the MP3 album, play/burn it
with no gaps between tracks. And of course... TO BE
PLAYED AT MAXIMUM VOLUME.

"ziggy cowboy sounds friggin' great, man! nice work"
"Just listened to the first four tracks, gotta say, I was taken and sold at the opening of "Five Years", You sound like such a different singer, much
more different then what I know, I'm digging your voice in this. Kuddos to you Papi!! It has this German/Bertolt Brecht kinda thing going on, was
that intentional? It has this really cool hip factor going on too, yet theatricality seeps thru at the same time; and that's thanks to your
arrangements and vocal delivery, diging the backing vocals too, and just love the over-all quirkiness of it. I can totally see people digging this,
especially hard core Bowie Fans like myself. Fuck yeah dude!! I'll bet it's also been a great exploration for you as an artist just to venture off into
something totally left from center. Love it so far, can't wait to hear more as I drive to work tomorrow morning. Good to see you dude, you're
always a charmer."
"I think it is so fun and cool and I am bored by other music - but this is the best! "
“It's personal, original and it is giant! This guy with a beautiful voice and orchestration appropriate any simplistic that it is perfectly to the songs. I
am a fan ...” (translation)
"I just bought this album from you this evening on Hollywood and it is so cool! I listened to it all the way home!"
