"Southern Fried Soul Music"

     Headin' South was  a new beginning for me. It was more than 10 years since I recorded my first solo album - The Last Drive In Movie.  I thought "well, this may be my last record, so I'd better make it a good one!"  

     I've recorded three more since then.

     I was lucky to  work with some incredible musicians. When you work with great musicians you just stand back and let  em go. And  go they did... there is some extraordinary playing on this record.

         Dale Sizer created the beautiful "Brad as a cactus" illustration.

     I got  radioplay thoughout the USA and Europe including shows on NPR and BBC.
